THANK YOU to everyone who attended the WISC Fellows-in-Residence Discussion “Stranger than Fiction”: Transforming Women’s Lived Realities into Fictional Stories. More than 30 people turned out at the Santa Fe Community Foundation on Monday, October 27, 2014 to hear Fellows, Jill Koenigsdorf and Ozlem Ezer, Ph.D., talk about their experiences as fiction writers, the advantages and disadvantages of fictionalizing facts, the gendered challenges they have faced in the publishing world, and the legacy of the written word. The audience was also the first group to hear excerpts from the manuscripts the authors have been developing during their residency at WISC. The authors’ readings were engaging, humorous, evocative and sincere. It certainly left the audience hungry to hear more. Thank you Jill and Ozlem for sharing!
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you at our next Fellowship-in-Residence Discussion!
